JFC Norfolk Commander to Visit the Norwegian Joint Headquarters
The US Vice Admiral Doug Perry, Commander of Joint Force Command Norfolk, is visiting Bodø, Northern Norway, this week. The NATO command is responsible for the Atlantic Ocean and the High North and will also be closely connected to the coming NATO air operations centre in Bodø.

The Commander of Joint Force Command (JFC) Norfolk, Vice Admiral Doug Perry, will visit the Norwegian Joint Headquarters at Reitan outside of Bodø in Northern Norway on Wednesday. This has been confirmed by the JFC Norfolk's Public Affairs Office to HNN.
During the visit, Perry and a delegation of officers from NATO countries will participate in so-called Warfighting talks in Bodø, including about the situation in Europe and the challenges faced by NATO.

Air operations center to Bodø
The Joint Force Command Norfolk is NATO's newest joint headquarters, and is currently being built up. The command is responsible for the Atlantic Ocean and the High North.
The Nordic countries are to be placed under this command, which is based in the US state of Virginia.
NATO's third regional air operations center (CAOC), which will be located in Reitan, will also be closely connected to the Norfolk command.
The upcoming Air Operations Center, as well as NATO's role in the Arctic, will be among the topics that Vice Admiral Perry will address during the visit, according to the Norwegian Joint Headquarters.
