The past week has largely been about the EU in the Arctic. Growing security policy challenges mean that several European countries want stronger EU engagement in the North.
The EU Arctic strategy is soon out, and researchers believe the union should gather more information on developments in the Arctic.
The French foreign minister travelled directly from the EU summit in Rovaniemi, Northern Finland to Bodø in the Norwegian Arctic, where journalist Linn Ophaug was on site. The minister was clear about one thing: It is unthinkable that anyone could threaten Europe's security.
