After closure due to Covid-19 in 2020, turnover has picked up again, and there was a total turnover of 3.8 billion in Svalbard. It is industries within transport and storage that have had the largest turnover of 692 million, but industries associated with teaching have had the largest increase with 142.2 per cent from 2020.

There is also an increase in employment from 2020 with a total of 4.9 per cent. The increase is greatest within accommodation and catering businesses, which have increased by 22.8 per cent.
