For several years, the Greenlandic government Naalakkersuisut has demanded that the management of the fishery company Royal Greenland must reside in Greenland. At this year's general meeting, the debate culminated with Naalakkersuisut chairman Múte B. Egede (IA) demanding a plan for the management living in Greenland to be presented to the public in September this year at the latest.
That is reported by the newspaper Sermitsiaq.
The company writes in a press release that changes have been made to the group management and that the change will create a better representation of the management in Greenland.
Most of the management will still reside outside Greenland with the new arrangement. CEO Susanne Arfelt Rajamand says to Sermitsiaq that the announcement of the new titles should be seen as an extension of the Naalakkersuisut demand.
