Rapid Infection Spread in Greenland

Since new year, 320 cases of infection have been reported in Greenland, according to KNR. Some of the tests were taken before 31 December, yet results were not clear until now.

Half of the infection cases are located in Nuuk, yet infection has also been detected in Ittoqqortoormiit, Qeqertarsuaq and Kangerlussuaq.

“This shows clearly that the Nuuk outbreak is growing rapidly”, Greenlands National Doctor’s Office writes in a statement and adds:

“The development in Ittoqqortoormiit, Kangerlussuaq and Nuuk clearly shows that we are talking about a much more rapid spread of infection than previously observed.”
