Greenland’s self-rule authorities, the Naalakkersuisut, has conducted a successful announcement for bids on ice and water extraction in five locations between Paamuit and Maniitsoq. A total of 16 bids from 7 different companies were submitted by the 1 August deadline, according to Sermitsiaq.
The Naalakkersuisut has implemented a new approach in which the areas in question were pre-surveyed in order to locate resources prior to the bidding competition.
A decision is expected within two months’ time.
