Negotiations between Parat and Bristow Norway have not been successful and as of Wednesday morning, there is a strike going on in offshore SAR operations. Bristow Norway is in charge of several SAR operations on the Norwegian shelf.

- Rescuers are crew member on SAR helicopters and in charge of SAR operations. In an emergency situation, they are the ones who use lifts to evacuate patients from vessels or even the sea under demanding conditions. In addition, they support nurses and other medical staff, says Parat head negotiator Lars Petter Larsen in a press release.

Regular medical evacuation from offshore installations is maintained during the strike.
