Yesterday, Norwegian Fisheries and Ocean Minister Bjørnar Skjæran met with a wide range of actors from the fish industry to discuss the conducting of this year’s winter fisheries, which are about to commence.
The situation before the 2022 winter fisheries is different from that of the previous year, as the borders are open. There is a relatively high level of infection in Norway.
Test kits will be sent out to the municipalities in the near future, so that they can have high test capacity for managing testing of workers traveling into the country to work during the winter fisheries, the Minister says.
The Norwegian government has purchased 15 million quick tests. An action plan has also been worked out, and it is coordinated by the Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB).
