Nordland County Council enters into a formalized cooperation to develop the algae industry in the Arctic.

The purpose is to speed up research and development work for farming algae and through that, to take a leading national role in the field.

There is already an existing network of some 16 companies, most of them based in Northern Norway. Public actors have not been part of this network up until now, however, in order to further development the network now wants to formalize cooperation with public management and development authorities as well as R&D organisations.
