The Norwegian parliament unanimously adopted the new Svalbard white paper today, Tuesday.
That is reported by Svalbardposten.
The parliament also decided on these two proposals:
- The parliament asks the government to explore which measures can be introduced to strengthen the mental health services in Longyearbyen.
- The parliament asks the government to ensure that the air freight capacity between the mainland and Svalbard is maintained until a permanent solution is in place.
