Slovakia and Poland have supplied seeds from their respective countries to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, according to Norwegian authorities.

With these two new contributors, the seed vault has a total of 78 gene banks represented behind its walls.

The next seed delivery will take place in February 2020.

Svalbard Global Seed Vault was established in 2008 following an international initiative to establish a secure storage for seeds.
