New Government Coalition in Greenland

In Greenland, the parties Inuit Ataqatigiit and Siumut have formed a new coalition for the self-rule government, according to Sermitsiaq. Thus, the party Naleraq is out of the government offices.

The information was presented by IA leader and Naalakkersuisut (self-rule government) Premier Mute B. Egede and Siumut party leader Erik Jensen at a press conference yesterday.

The two parties combined hold a solid majority in the Greenlandic parliament Inatsisartut, with 22 out of 31 seats.

The names of the new ministers of the Naalakkersuisut will be announced later today.
