This week, the Nanook marine exercise takes place in Greenlandic waters, according to KNR.
Ships and helicopters from Canada, the USA and France are currently near Nuuk together with an inspection vessel from the Danish Arctic Command. Canada leads the exercise. Later, the fleet participating in the exercise will continue north towards the Arctic Circle and continue their exercise near Sisimiut.
According to the Arctic Command, crew members from the foreign vessels are not permitted to enter Nuuk due to the risk of corona infection. Some of the vessels will, however, have supplies delivered in Nuuk.
