KJ Greenland has signed a contract to construct the terminal building, a service building as well as the operation tower for the new international airport in Illuissat, Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq. The company submitted its successful bid in November 2020.
The overall contract, now signed, consists of a passenger terminal building of 4,750 square meters, a service building of 1,900 square meters, as well as an operation tower.
Construction will commence in the summer of 2022 and the buildings are to be finished by 2024, like the rest of the airport.
