Mineral extraction, renewable energy for a green transition, as well as a competent workforce that supports green industrial development are the key words when the Chair of the County Government in Nordland, Svein Eggesvik, is now drawing up a regional growth agreement with the state authorities.
As a follow-up to the Hurdal platform, Nordland has been designated one of two pilot counties that have agreed with state authorities. The regional growth agreement will strengthen green industrial development in Nordland.
"The regional growth agreement with the state will strengthen the development of green industry in the county. When Nordland has been selected, it is, of course, based on the natural resources, that we have good knowledge environments, and we have industrial expertise and a historical advantage," states the Chair of the County Government in Nordland, Svein Eggesvik, in a press release.
