The multi-national exercise ICEX 2020 is on. The exercise is held in the Arctic Ocean and is conducted on a biennial basis.

The exercise is led by the U.S., and includes participants from Canada, Norway, the U.K., and Japan. Two U.S. Navy fast-attack submarines will surface near the North Pole over the course of the exercise, and will also conduct several transits through the region, Arctictoday.com writes.
