Iceland expects to lift restrictions for incoming travelers from abroad no later than on 15 June, according to Sermitsiaq.
All incoming travelers are expected to be met with a choice of either taking a Corona test or going into quarantine, though the details around this have not been announced yet.
At present, incoming travelers to Iceland, be they local citizens or foreigners, must enter into a 14-day quarantine immediately upon entering the island.
Already from 15 May onwards, people from certian professional groups may apply to enter the country on special conditions.
