Tele Greenland has chosen Ericsson over Huawei in the bid to build the country’s 5G network, accordingn to Sermitsiaq.
The decision came at a time when Chinese Huawei is very contested due to its links to the Chinese state. The Chinese ambassador to Denmark was accused of threatening the Faroe Islands, saying that a potential free-trade agreement depended on Huawei being selected to construct the islands’ 5G network.
A week ago, Norway also chose Ericsson over Huawei in the bid to develop the country’s 5G network.
