Early voting for the parliamentary elections on 30 November began towards the end of last week, and according to the capital area commissioner, it got off to an enthusiastic start.
It appears that more people have voted at this stage than during the last parliamentary elections, Icelandic broadcaster RUV reports. President Halla of Iceland accepted the Prime Minister's proposal to dissolve parliament, made on 15 October.
