47 persons on the Faroe Islands have been proven infected with the corona virus, according to KNR. The figure has doubled in a day.
So far, 247 persons are quarantined whereas 703 persons on the Faroe Islands have been tested for the virus.
The police is now introducing border control on the archipelago, and airlines are cutting down the number of flights to and from the Faroe Islands. Travelers who do not hold a residence permit on the archipelago or have an approved purpose for their visit will be denied entry.
