Following Denmark’s allocated DKK 80 million to work aimed at improving the situation for children and youth at risk in Greenland, a joint working group today presents its recommendations. The allocation applies to the 2020-2023 period, according to Sermitsiaq.
Danish Minister of Social Affairs Astrid Krag and Greenland’s naalakkersuisoq for Social Issues Martha Abelsen today receive a recommendation containing 16 main items for how to spend the allocation.
The initiative will see efforts in four overall areas; early support and prevention, strengthened local case processing, more support options for children and youth at risk, as well as improving compliance with the Rule of Law also for children and youth.
