Demonstrations in Greenland, Protesters Demand New Election

Hundreds of people demonstrated against the self-rule government in Nuuk, Greenland Tuesday afternoon, according to KNR. The protesters demanded new elections.

Inside Inatsisartut, the self-rule parliament, the processing of the so-called ‘Catfish case’ had finished an hour earlier. Last Thursday, the premier of the self-rule government Kim Kielsen survived a vote of no confidence in Inatsisartut by one single vote.

Tuesday’s protest ended outside the Inatsisartut assembly hall, where protesters waited until the politicians came out to hear their message. The demonstration ended after about an hour.
