Nordland County Councilor for Education, Hild-Marit Olsen, recently opened the Nordnorsken art exhibition; an annual exhibition focusing solely on North Norwegian artists. Nordland County has taken over the financial responsibility for continuing the exhibition following its being excluded from a cultural funding scheme in which it was previously included.

Nine out of twenty artists at this year’s exhibition are debutants. A total of 330 pieces were submitted, 23 of which were accepted and constitute this year’s Nordnorske exhibition.
