Despite the October quota being reached as early as on 12 October, flounder fisheries in Disko Bay in Greenland have not been halted.
Now, the entire annual quota of flounders has been caught and fishermen are currently about to fish more than the overall annual quota, according to Sermitsiaq.
The Naalakkersuisoq (minister) for trapping, fisheries and farming has decided that these fisheries should not be halted.
