The Norwegian Minister of Transportation has initiated a change in Norwegian aviation fees to improve the competitiveness of Norwegian aviation. In addition to changing the fees airlines pay to Avinor, the Ministry also suggest changing fees that will benefit the commercial short-distance flight routes.

The proposed changes will be out on hearing from January, and the changes are expected to come into effect by 1.1.2020.
