Today, the Norwegian foreign minister hosts the Barents Indigenous People’s summit.

The theme of the summit is cooperation between indigenous people in the Barents region, including the Sami, the Nenets, the Komi and the Veps.

Participants from Norway include Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide and Sami Parliament President Aili Keskitalo.
