ÁRRAN 360° Takes Place in Venice

ÁRRAN 360° is a fusion of Indigenous storytelling and innovative technology. This first-of-its-kind film project features six original 360-degree screen-based works created by six leading sámi artists across Sápmi. This is reported by UArctic.

ÁRRAN 360° will be presented in a purpose-built giant lávvu and equipped with a 360-degree screen designed to showcase these special works. The lávvu has a strong tradition in the Sámi culture, as it has been both a home and a spiritual space for the Sami people for centuries.

Entering the film lávvu the viewer will step into a circular space where the past meets the future.

The world premiere of ÁRRAN 360° is presented as an official part of the extended program of ´The Sámi Pavilion´ at the 59th International Art Exhibition of La Biennale de Venezia.
