Arctic Shipping Forum Convened in London

This week, the Arctic Shipping Forum convened in London for its first meeting following Iceland’s assuming the Arctic Council chairmanship.

The forum aims to contribute to effective implementation of the IMO’s "International Code for Ships Operating in Polar Waters", a.k.a. the Polar Code.

The Forum was estabslished by the eight states of the Arctic Council in 2017.
