Alaska House Deadlocked over Speaker Election

Alaska’s legislative assembly, the Alaska House, is currently deadlocked and unable to proceed with its work due to disagreement over who should be elected Speaker of the House, according to APM.

The House has no majority caucus as Democrats, Republicans and independents are unable to agree on the Speaker issue. Thursday was the 24th day of the legislative session, which has been deadlocked from the beginning.
