Air Greenland Gears Up SAR Capacity

Air Greenland has recently acquired two Airbus H225 helicopters to reinforce its search and rescue (SAR) capacity in Greenland, according to KNR. Air Greenland holds a current SAR agreement with the Danish state that runs out in November 2020.

The helicopters have been used previously and have cost a total of DKK 200 million.

A new tender competition for SAR in Greenland is expected to be announced within the next six months.
