Arctic Football Team Bodø/Glimt Stuns Inter Milan in Champions League Playoff
Bodø (High North News): Bodø/Glimt defeated another major European football team with a 3-1 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League knockout rounds.
Bodø/Glimt hosted Inter Milan at Aspmyra Stadium on Wednesday for the first leg of the Champions League playoff.
Inter Milan currently leads the Italian league, Serie A.
At Aspmyra Stadium, the first half starts somewhat cautiously from both teams, but the match eventually picks up.
After 20 minutes of play, Sondre Brunstad Fet puts Glimt in the lead. About ten minutes later, however, Milan's Francesco Pio Esposito equalises, and it's 1-1 at halftime.
Stuns Inter
In the second half, highlights include Glimt stunning Inter with two goals in just three minutes.
After 61 minutes played, Jens Petter Hauge put the Arctic football team in the lead again, while Kasper Høgh, only minutes later, made it 3-1 for Bodø/Glimt.
Historic Champions League playoff
With tonight's victory, Bodø/Glimt is the first Norwegian team to win a match in the knockout rounds of the Champions League.
The Arctic football team has pulled off several great wins in Europe's most prestigious club tournament so far, including a 3-1 win over Manchester City in January, and secured a sensational advancement to the knockout rounds after a victory against Atletico Madrid.
The 3-1 win over Inter provides a good starting point ahead of the decisive away match at Stadio San Siro in Milan on February 24.
