USAID has awarded USD 450,000 to education in entrepreneurship and innovation in Greenland.
A public-owned Greenlandic fund is to administer the funds and roll out entrepreneurship and innovation in primary and secondary schools in Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq.
The deal is to be signed in Ilulissat on Friday 17 September.
In recent years, the USA has demonstrated increasing interest in Greenland and in 2020, the then-Naalakkersuisut (self-rule authority) agreed to a USD 12.1 million dollar package. According to Sermitsiaq, it is not clear whether the entrepreneurship agreement is part of this package.
