The Stockholm tourist company Äventyrsresor [Adventure travels] has been denied permisson to organize guided ski tours in the national parks Sarek and Stora Sjöfallet during the second half of April, according to a ruling from the Field and Environmental Court, SVT reports.

The plans have faced opposition from a.o. Sirges Sami village. The court has now confirmed the original decision from the local authorities.

The court refers to the risk of disturbing reindeer in the mountains in question during its vulnerable calving season.
