Arctic Minerals has made promising discoveries in its survey of the Peräphja slate belt in the southwestern parts of Finnish Lapland this summer. The company describes its findings as ‘promising’.
Samples taken this summer indicated promising deposits of copper in several locations, in addition to deposits of silver and gold. The sampling will continue until the end of the field work season before conclusions are drawn.
The company says in a press release that the slate belt in question demonstrates significant similarities with the so-called ‘copper belt’ in Zambia, and that is is very attractive for further prospecting.
