Last week, the vessel Sarfaq Ittuk could not take passengers onboard due to potential Corona infection amongst its crew. Thus, 121 passengers were left stranded in South Greenland, according to Sermitsiaq.
Now, the route’s operator Arctic Umiaq Line says it will assist in finding alternative transport using plane or boat for the passengers in question. Passengers heading home to where they live will be prioritized.
Those amongst the crew who tested positive have disembarked and the remaining crew members were tested Sunday.
