The Norwegian Fisheries Directorate has fined Grieg Seafood Finnmark a penalty fee of NOK 1.4 million due to its having six localities that are neither placed nor shaped in accordance with the permits received.
The wrongfully placed facilites have been located in the wrong place for years.
- Grieg Seafood Finnmark acknowledges that we have had lacking routines and internal control systems in place in order to apply for approval of such changes. We strongly regret this and accept the penalty fee, says Regional Director Roy-Tore Rikardsen of Grieg Seafood Finnmark.
