Greenland Wants to Sell State Ownership

Greenland’s self-rule authority, the Naalakkersuisut, wants to sell off an ownership share of up to 33 percent of the state-owned fisheries company Royal Greenland, according to Sermitisiaq. That appears from the national budget presented earlier this week.

The money from a potential sale will go towards development of infrastructure, such as runways and a road between Simiut and Kangerlussuaq.

Selling off up to 33 percent of Royal Greenland is expected to bring in between DKK 825 million and 1.65 billion.
