Fishermen operating in the Arsuk Fjord on Greenland have recently seen repeated clashes with marine officers operating in the Arsuk fjord – in conflict with ongoing fishery activities. The officers are based at the Grønnedal base, which was to be closed and abandoned by 2017, according to a 2011 decision.

The fishermen and trappers’ association now requires a ban on military activities in the Arsuk Fjord, according to Sermitsiaq.
