The Faroe Islands’ salmon export may come under pressure due to unregulated catching of seal. This is now to change, according to Sermitsiaq.

The Faroese Fisheries Minister Høgni Hoydal (Republicans) has presented a law proposals that gives the Faroese the right to exploit marine resources.

The initiative is to ensure unimpeded salmon export to the USA.
