The Canadian government has recently published a new report stating that Canada’s Arctic region is warming three times as fast as other areas in the world, according to KNR.
The report states that the temperature in the Canadian High North has increased three times as much as in other areas of the world. Canada as a whole has warmed twice as fast as other countries.
The strong warming means shrinking sea ice, thawing permafrost, melting glaciers and thinner ice, in addition to extraordinary temperature fluctuations.
